Please explain to me how your psone is reading any data from a dvd or bluray disk to create monsters.....unless you are using a ps3 to play monster rancher. Just sounds kinda odd to me.

I dunno if it works in a CD player as I've never tried, but I once put the original Grand Theft Auto on the PS1 in my computer and all the songs came up as WAV files.

I listen to Sapphire for the PC Engine all the time in my car, it's the most epic soundtrack ever

Never saw your question, so although my response is a month late, I was using the PS3 to read the Blu-ray disks. I would not put a Blu-ray disk in my PSOne.

As far as PS1 games, Gundam Battle Assault. I may have played the disc in a CD player more often than I played the game haha. I think the second one might have functioned that way as well. Both had pretty good soundtracks, IMO.
