Dave, I think aiming for monthly would be great. Maybe for the 15th, so if you do tie in TR (even if it's only a segment) then we'd already be playing the game.

Also, how about advertising in some retro mags? Video Game Collector? Things like that. (I don't know if RB has any budget...)

Just to throw my two cents in, I've been lurking the site for awhile, since I started to regret selling my old genesis, master system and ps1 several years ago, but I had no idea you guys had a podcast until a couple days ago when this topic was on the front page. I definitely think adding a dedicated section for it to the front page is going to help. I've downloaded a couple of them that I'll give a listen to at work this week and chime back in with an opinion.

Has anyone ever written a transcript of any of these podcasts?
(Anyone else find it weird that I use my MP3 player to read novels than to listen to them?)
My scheduling skills have died of dysentery; I hope to visit at least on a monthly basis.
Still, don't forget to tip your waitress.

So I listened to three this week, the original, the Phantasy Star one, and the indie sh'mup one, as those last two seemed like the two topics I would be most interested in.

I thought they were pretty well done, and I did enjoy the more serious tone and good information, it's nice to have a podcast that's a little different.

Going forward, it will probably just depend on how interesting I find the topic to be. Thanks for doing these.

I just started listening to the podcast a couple weeks ago, and it's been a fantastic thing to listen to on my smart phone while on my commutes to and from work. Instead of trying to flip between the bland talk radio stations here, I'm finding myself immediately turning to these shows for entertainment.

Dave, I just think you're just doing an awesome job...I remember reading that you use NPR's format as an inspiration for your style, and it really makes this podcast stand out from the crowd. Straight to the point retro gaming talk, with a professional take (and insightful interviews) that is just truly refreshing compared to most other podcasts.

You don't have to change a thing as far as I'm concerned. Thanks for all your hard work, and giving me this to look forward to each month!

I liked that the recent podcast featured some of Niode's music. Judging from the "Post a Pic of Yourself" thread, pretty much like half the forum members here are musicians. I think it would add a nice personal homebrewed touch to feature different music from the site members in the intros/outros. Maybe you should start a thread asking if anyone would be willing to contribute some MP3s?

I have a handful of short recordings I would definitely be willing to let you use for intros/outros if you want.

When I did, all I got was Niode's. For consistency's sake I plan to keep using it, although I wouldn't be adverse to including other members' music when I can see a use for it...

Really? I never saw a thread for it. Did you post it in Podcast or in Whatever forum? Anyway, I'll pm a link to some of my stuff. You can decide whether to feature it or not.
