It's not hard to find a download link. I managed it perfectly fine, I didn't even have to look, I clicked on the first great big download button on the page. It's pretty hard to miss. The only other 'download' links I can find are obviously ads, besides that, they're fucking tiny little links... You clicked on that before clicking the glaringly obvious 'Download' button?

Re: Racketboy Advent Calendar of free PC games!
Wait, what? You do know that Phishing is rigging a website to look like another website (like your bank account, facebook, gmail etc) so that you enter your details into it? These types of ads aren't phishing ads since that is illegal and would get your site shut down extremely quickly. Just because they're asking you to pay for something that you don't need/want doesn't mean it's a scam...

Man this game is odd. My first go, I went through the usual pleasantries, hi how are you etc answered their questions. I ask for a drink, and that's it, world war fucking three. I ended up telling Trip to go fuck himself after he accused me of being too friendly with Grace. I got ushered out of the door. Awesome.
Oh yeah and I told Grace her decorating 'Looked like shit' and she was actually happy about it.

Today’s free game is...
Au Sable / All Of Our Friends Are Dead.

This is a platform/run n gun game with a large dose of horror thrown into the mix. The game designer wanted to make a game that played something like his nightmares, and it does have a kind of crazy dream logic to it. You see flashes of images. You jump from one location to another for no apparent reason. You don’t seem to be on a linear timeline. It also manages to be kind of scary. There is a slow churning ambient soundtrack that sets the tone to the dark side. The visuals, though pixelated, are dark and macabre. I actually like the 8-bit style because I feel it leaves more to the imagination, which is good for a nightmare. It also controls really well. You jump very high, almost like in the old Legend of Kage game on the NES. You begin with just jumping and solving some simple puzzles, but as the game progresses you begin to get some fire power. My only major complaint with the game is I felt it was too short, which is a good sign because it means I want to play more.

Re: Racketboy Advent Calendar of free PC games!
So I spent today having a go at some of these. I tried Octodad again, still had trouble with the stairs. I can't say I'm a fan, It sounded great in concept, but in practice I just find it annoying and frustrating.
Facade I played a few times, I got kicked out twice and Trip left Grace at the end of the the third run. It was interesting, but I felt the vocal communication thing didn't work very well - often I tried to say something and it didn't really communicate the message very well.
For example - Me: "You seem upset, Grace"
Trip: *shocked expression* "You think I'm depressed?"
*Trip and Grace stare awkwardly at each other as if I'm a weirdo*
I swear, I felt they had a problem with me far more than each other. Still, the 'game' was interesting in its own way.
Genetos I played all the way through (Even with keyboard controls...urgh) and it was fun enough, but I dont feel any desire to go back. Still, it's been fun trying out some PC games for a change, especially as they arent the big name games.

I have felt pretty similar about the games, though I differ on Octodad. The more frustrating the controls were, the more it made me laugh out loud. He's so ridiculous. I think my favorite part of the game was when I had to do chores, like clean out the fridge. Octodad struggles just to throw all of the food on the ground and his wife is like "oh, well, that's one way to clean the fridge. Good job dear." It's like they don't know he's an octopus, they just think he's stupid or something. And I'm controlling him, so I feel like this inept stupid octopus-as-human thing. The whole thing just makes me laugh.
Unfortunately, Facade has more social awkwardness than understanding in the conversation. I still think it's brilliant just for being so unique and ambitious though.
Genetos is also one that I finished and liked, but don't feel like I need to play much more of. I wanted to see the concept played out and they did a good job. I'm not sure why I don't feel more compelled to go back for more though.
Casebook is cool, but the storyline for the free chapter of helping these old people find a lost urn is kinda lame. I'm still interested enough to want to play the full trilogy, but FMVs are a guilty pleasure for me.
Au Sable I enjoyed a lot, but got stuck a few times and found it frustrating. It's also hard to figure out what is going in. It's supposed to be kind of like a nightmare, so I'm forgiving, but it did seem hard at times to stay motivated to succeed on a difficult part because I barely understand what is going on in the story. I love the jumping though, so it stay entertaining.
Pirates, I actually haven't played yet. I just saw the announcement that it went free-to-play and thought it would be good to add to the list. Everything else I add though I am making a point to play first to provide a little quality control. There are a lot of crappy free games out there, so I'm trying to just put up ones that I think are worth your time to at least try.

Some of you will know of this game already. This was the senior project of some students at Digipen. Valve hired these guys after playing this creative game. It would later become the succesful game Portal. This is where the portal puzzle mechanic was first developed, but in a completely different setting. Narbacular Drop is not as polished as Portal, but it is a fun game in its own right. Check it out.

Oh my god. I've been playing different free games to prepare for future posts in this thread. The one I'm playing right now is so hilariously awesome!
I think it is the funniest game I have ever played. I can't wait for you guys to play it. I'll post it tomorrow.

WARNING: The following game contains extreme funny. Side effects of funny include laughing until you cry, until it hurts to smile, or until milk squirts out your nose. In some extreme cases, funny can lead to laughing off the posterior region and even dying from laughing.

In this game, you are Charles Barkley. This is not a basketball game. It is a role playing game. A ridiculous over-the-top role playing game that takes place in a post-apocalyptic world where basketball has been outlawed and ballers are only remembered in legend. Most ballers were killed in the b-ball genocide. Charles Barkley remains and lives in hiding. You need to convince the world to believe in slams and jams once more.
I don’t want to say much more than that for fear of spoiling the experience, but you get the point—this game is crazy weird. The writing is hilarious. It even has good comedic timing in the way the text unfolds with ellipses… in all the right places. Seriously, play this game. I don’t even follow basketball and I think this game is awesome.

I should add that this game is really more than just a gimmick. It is actually a really good JRPG. It's surprisingly fun as well as funny. Also, I've played for a few hours now and it hasn't lost its momentum yet. The humor stays funny and the story keeps you going.
Here's a video of some gamers talking about how great this game is. There are some spoilers that go up through about the first two hours of the game, so if you want to just jump in and play, you might wait on watching this.
