Are there any working Satella Views even anymore? Didn't they just run on dial-up through Japanese servers? How would that work today?hashiriya1 wrote:I like em both about equally, but I don't like the concave/convex buttons. The SFC looks rad with add-ons tho. I put a non-working Satella View on mine just for kicks.

Nintendo shut down the service, so there aren't any working anymore.Rurouni_Fencer wrote: Are there any working Satella Views even anymore? Didn't they just run on dial-up through Japanese servers? How would that work today?

I voted Super Famicom!
Love the design, and it looks cool with all of the extra peripherals (still looking out for a Satellaview unit, even if it doesn't work anymore!)

I think it's what your used to...the more you see it, the more plain it becomes. This is true for regional systems, artwork, etc. I would think Japanese gamers think our stuff looks cool and vice versa. I look at my US Dreamcast on the shelf and think, how ugly, what a mishmash. Then I look at my JP dreamcast and think how pure and uniform and beautiful. My guess is in Japan, he looks at it and says JP Dreamcast is so plain, white and boring. I wish I had US stuff, its like skittles - a beautiful rainbow!
