Scrapland - Just couldnt get into it. Probably my fault for just flying around instead of playing the game.
Snatcher - adventure games on consoles never work for me, I'm a point and click kind of guy
Any final fantasy game - Seriously fuck it I tried like all of them but rpg's suck without some interesting time based mechanics or something cool like that.
Toe Jam and Earl 3 - Fair enough I guess this game is kind of a piece of shit but still I really wanted to love it but I guess sega decided to make it not so much of a druggie game.
Gunvalkyrie - Ok so maybe I do like this game but not enough. Amazing gameplay some sick graphics but the shittiest control scheme ever. Knowing originally your right hand was supposed to be holding a lightgun just makes it even more sad.
Dynamite Heady - made by treasure for fucks sake what is wrong with me?
Majora's mask - my friend gave it to me when he beat it. I really enjoyed it at first but when I realised I had wasted my 3 days or whatever it is just wandering around I got scarred by the time limit and gave up. I'm pretty sure they just give you more time if you dont make it anyway. I should probably go back and play it again for real
That new game made by the same guy as rez - I'm just preparing for disappointment really. who wants to have synesthesia to some bullshit commercial nonsense?

when the third day is coming to an end, you just play the song of time (or whichever it is) and return to the first daydudex77 wrote: Majora's mask - my friend gave it to me when he beat it. that's the trick of the whole game; reliving the three days over and over (think Groundhog Day with Bill Murray)

Ogre Battle 64 (N64) - I bought this CIB knowing it was a SRPG and was highly acclaimed for the system. I had never played an SRPG so I went through the tutorials... which lasted hours
I didn't play far into the main game before I lost interest, maybe I need to start on a more beginner-friendly SRPG?
Tales of Symphonia (GC) - This was really one of my first encounters with JRPG games (I don't play many RPG games). I got about 20 hours in like Lord Santa did and I kinda lost interest in what was going on. I have a guide for the game and a bookmark so I know where to start from again... I'll push through it eventually and am still interested in playing others in the series.
Fallout 3 (PC) - I LOVED Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion... spent well over 150+ hours in that game. So naturally I figured I would love Fallout 3 but I didn't like it as much. At first I spent too much time on side quests so the main story got lost/fuzzy. I tried to just do the main story missions but I eventually lost interest and started playing something else.
Gears of War (PC) - Played it for about an hour and didn't really come back to it. I'm so-so on the series but it is a game I want to finish.

Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem (GC) I bought this game the day it came out, spent a bunch of time playing it. It gets too crazy or hard or something and I have to start it again a year later only to have the same experience. I WANT to love it. Not yet.
And Final Fantasy 7 for the already mentioned reasons. Mabye i'm not giving it enough of a chance.
Earthbound - Not that it's too hard but once i get to the next town i save, shut off and end up not picking it up again for months then want to start it all over again.
I think i might have recognized my problem by typing this post. hmm. stick to one game until i've beaten it? NEVER!!!

Your comments about Gunvalkyrie's controls is one of the reasons I didn't like God Hand. Mashing the right analogue stick to dodge attacks? Not for medudex77 wrote:Gunvalkyrie - Ok so maybe I do like this game but not enough. Amazing gameplay some sick graphics but the shittiest control scheme ever. Isn't the localized version of Dynamite Heady suppossed to be worse than the japanese one? Much like how Working Designs effed up Silhouette Mirage?
Screw Zelda, play Okami and Beyond Good and Evil LOL. Okay, I'm half joking, Twilight Princess was pretty cool, but overall Zelda hasn't been that awesome since it left 8-bit and 16-bit land

speaking of which:Gamerforlife wrote:Screw Zelda, play Okami and Beyond Good and Evil LOL. Okay, I'm half joking, Twilight Princess was pretty cool, but overall Zelda hasn't been that awesome since it left 8-bit and 16-bit land
Zelda II - Adventure of Link
I love all Zelda games (not sure about the CD-I ones, never tried 'em)
but AoL...
I know it gets a lot of hate, but it's a Zelda game and I should love it, if nothing else for the sake of being a Zelda game
alas...
I've played it a couple of times and find no interest in it
which is a shame...

Final Fantasy 7- I had the original and loved all the sequels until 7 killed the franchise for me.
Chrono Cross- I know a lot of people love it but I wanted something as great as Chrono Trigger and I was just disappointed. It just isn't my cup of tea.
Any Zelda game- The magic is unfortunately lost on me so I can't get the enjoyment from these that others seem to. I do like the charm of The Wind Waker though.
Metroid- I did like the original but I just can't love the franchise the way others do.
Castlevania- I did like Symphony of The Night and Dracula X but again I just can't bring myself to love the franchise.
Grandia or Grandia III- I love Grandia 2 despite the fact that it is a little too easy. Though the original was still fun neither that or Grandia 3 had the same charm for me.
Contra sequels- Love the original, couldn't enjoy any sequels.
Mario 2- Man I REALLY wanted to love this game as a kid but I just couldn't.
Shadowgate 64- Love the original but this one...not so much.
Any Strategy RPG with the exception of maybe Jeanna d'Arc for psp.

Golden Sun GBA for me. I've probably put in about 9-10 hours. The story is interesting. I just hate the damn random encounters. I'm also not too fond of the combat controls where you designate which character will attack which monster with which move.
I'm more into Zelda which has real time combat. Paper Mario (N64 & TTYD) were fun even though they're turned based because there's a bit of action in them (e.g, the timed attacks and defense). Plus they're fun when you have to mash a button quickly to do a special attack.
