The arcade machine of Narc was down the street from my old house when I was a kid. WAAAAAY cooler in arcades :)

Yeah, they had it at a bowling alley when I was a kid. Awesome game.

I don't know if you're still willing to add to the list, but I remembered a couple more:

Commando

Isolated Warrior

Also, Metal Gear 2: Snakes Revenge. It's not as good as the first Metal Gear, but it is more action-oriented.

Also, while I've never played them, I am under the impression that Ikari Warriors 2 and 3 are substantially better than the first.

I always thought F-Zero X was pretty manly, significantly manlier than the SNES and GC versions at least.

I dunno about 3, but 2 is a wacky piece of crap, at least on the NES.

You really need the rotating joystick for games like Ikari Warriors.

I've said it in another thread, All of the SNK games with rotating sticks need to be released on a comp for PS3 or 360. Dual sticking it like Robotron wouldn't be perfect, but it would be pretty good. Would be nice if Time Soldier could get in on that too, but since it isn't SNK it wouldn't happen.

Have to go with Dynowarz: The Destruction of Spondylus, what's more manly than driving a robotic dinosaur that destroys anything in its path?

The idea is great, but the execution leaves a lot to be desired, imo.

The ending has got to be one of the best I've ever seen in a video game, though. "Congratulations! You've finished another great game from BanDai!"

I bought the DataEast collection for Wii and Heavy Barrel controls with dual sticks using the classic controller. Works out pretty good. I actually think some games on the Capcom collection control the same way but I may be thinking of something else.
