It had a challenger in it. I'm happy.

There was a lot of setup, and the way the pacing is, I think amc is approaching the series in three episode acts.

I enjoyed last night's episode, and really enjoy seeing the book come to life. It's also nice to remember who everyone is, as in the comic so many characters look the same.

Re-watch the first episode. After Shane kisses his wife, the next scene cuts to Rick looking at a picture of his wife and son.

Also, they set up the rocky relationship in the first scene of the first episode, where Shane and Rick are talking about women. So who knows how long the affair has been going on.

I actually immediately thought of South Park (from many years ago). An episode where a man goes missing do to being trapped in ice. Once he is thawed years later, he finds out his wife had re-married (I think) after only searching for him for a few days. I realize that more time passed than a few days in The Walking Dead, but still thought of the episode anyhow.

I am sooo loving this show so far! I already have a lil obsession over zombies, so this is super rad. The zombies don't look cheap either, good and gory. Lovin it! It even goes old school with the zombies - you know, slow and uncoordinated, rather than fast and frenzied.

Interesting, I didn't pay much mind about them setting up the rocky relationship and it's implications. I just thought "man, what a whore...she certainly didn't wait long." I mean it couldn't have been more than a couple weeks or did I miss something in the time line? She really didn't waste any time at all with moving on. It makes more sense if she was cheating on him before it all went down.

So far so good, this series rules! Too bad there's only 3 episodes left. and then we have to wait for season 2.

So far, I'd rank the episodes like this: 2 > 1 > 3

Woah. Episode 4 was action packed!
I haven't read any of the books, but I'm definitely a fan of the show.
Absolutely recommended if you're a fan of the genre.

How is this show not TV-MA?? it's so gory!
