Yeah, but now you're wandering into TV/Movie cliches here. It doesn't matter if a place has been closed or abandoned for years. If plot dictates the need of power, all you need is to flip a breaker, lodge a wrench in place of a fuse, or put a little gas or alcohol in the generator that's been sitting for 30 years.

I've won a few bets off of this. I'd say 70% of Americans think there is a "d" in refrigerator, as it is pronounced with a heavy "d" sound. It's one of those bets you can make in a bar and get someone to pick up your tab.
