Yeah, but now you're wandering into TV/Movie cliches here. It doesn't matter if a place has been closed or abandoned for years. I've won a few bets off of this. I'd say 70% of Americans think there is a "d" in refrigerator, as it is pronounced with a heavy "d" sound. It's one of those bets you can make in a bar and get someone to pick up your tab.
