My answer would be the Phoenix Wright games (They were released before as Gyakuten Saiban in Japan for GBA but got never outside until the NDS Version releases).
Weren't they just ports though? Albeit with a second display and touchscreen controls added on DS

Im gonna say it... Metal Gear Solid The Twin Snakes. I thought it was great. Just wish they kept the alert phase music

THIS. I'm glad someone finally agrees with me that Twin Snakes is amazing!
Also, noise is right; MMPU is spectacular, as well. It was my very first PSP game, and I still love it. A level editor in a Mega Man game? Pure win.

Super Castlevania IV isn't a remake, but it sure is one of the best games of the 16-bit generation (and one of the greatest games of all time at that).
