TR JANUARY COMPLETE!

Thank you RB voters for a good start to 2012 and a Zelda clone I never knew existed. I will post additional thoughts in the Games Beaten 2012 thread.

Next Month: a DC classic in Soul Calibur. I've had the game for years so I'll be ready for it!

Congrats!

I feel like the only one who beat it but didn't really like it...

I think that's true. Me, SB, Exed, AlienJesus... we all liked it.

Spoiler Alert: I don't much care for Soul Calibur either.

IMO it's better than Street Fighter, but not as good as Tekken or Killer Instinct.

if by "Street Fighter" you mean Street Fighter, then yes. If you mean Street Fighter II, III or IV, then no.

The first one was meh, the second was extremely influential but did nothing to make the series unique from later series to expand on the fighting game formula, I haven't tried 3, and 4 was unbalanced, had laggy online, characters were gimmicky, and the series still didn't have anything to set it apart from the competition. Just because Mario started what we know platformers as today doesn't mean it's better than Mega Man, and just because Street Fighter started what we know fighters as today doesn't mean it's better than Killer Instinct.

I don't know what you're attempting to say here^

...but I'm pretty sure that III is my favorite of the four now.
