I don't think there's much dispute about that, but the writers want you to have your cake and eat it too.

There have been major changes on how the show is being run, and I definitely have noticed some changes. It's going to be a totally different show next season. And how brilliant were the writers to not reveal who will play Michonne, which was only so they could give the writers more time to cast the perfect actress?

But Forlorn, although some characters start the same, wouldn't you agree that some of the "goings on" in the show (especially the HUGE moments) have twists?

I'd pay for an episode of Talking Dead starring Forlorn Drifter and GamerforLife.
I understand what your saying- but like I said, it should have been different from the beginning. The characters and all that, I don't mind if they're the same. I want a different enviroment, and completely different situations. I would have liked to see Daryl's brother return. I also have more question's into Daryl and T-Dawg, because both of them are new. I would have liked the Dixon brothers to have had more to them than "racist redneck". Sure, Daryl gets lots of character development. I dunno, I guess it's because I come from the south and still have rebel flags in my house, a father and gradfather named after Lee, and me also, to an extent, that I would have liked to see a little more of that come through in the show. (Hey, I almost got named Josie William. Josie, as in Josie Wales, and William, a family name.)

Meh. Fix it now.

I think for some people, part of the fun of Walking Dead is comparing it (how far or similar it is) to the source material. It adds to the experience. Without the comic, it's just another zombie/end of civilization story.

Dang was that a great season finale! Absolutely fantastic. It felt like a great zombie movie (except only 1 hour long). Lot's of action and gore, something that this show has been missing (not that it isn't good, it is).

There were a couple of scenes inspired by Day of the Dead (the 80s classic, not the terrible 2000s zombie movie of the same name (but not same story)) that I caught. The part where the zombies are in the city eating, and stumbling around, then the helicopter passes by and it sort of "wakes" them and they start going towards it; that was pretty close to the opening scene of Day of the Dead. Also the part where the zombie horde busts the fence down is just like in Day of the Dead, but it was a chain-link fence in Day of the Dead.

My only comlpaint of this action-filled episode was that they didn't give us a preview of next season at the end of the episode. What a rip-off!

i believe he will be with the governor. the writers already hinted about this in interviews. i think meryl will be a rebel leader and daryl will have to decide between groups and meryl will try to enact his "hand" at revenge to rick.

my problem isn't with comparing it with the comics as much as the snail like pace leading up to the last few episodes. but whatever, i bitch alot about that but still like the show. it's all good.

Filming hasn't begun yet. TV shows are made pretty fast now. They'll only have two or three episodes completely done by the time the season starts airing. They'll finish filming around the half way point of the season.

All of TV is on pretty tight schedules now. (For example, Chuck had a 2 month cycle, the episodes began filming only a couple months before they were going to air.) Obviously, South Park has the most extreme, which is, they don't start production of the next episode until the day after the previous episode aired (insane)

Seeing Michonne and the prison was good enough preview of next season for me.

Until you mentioned the helicopter scene, I didn't put two and two together. I always like how most zombie based stories will give nods to previous ones.

So who would you guys cast for Michonne?

I was really thinking they were going to pull a "Night of the Living Dead" with everybody going into the farmhouse with shotguns. I was slightly dissapointed, but Hershel tearing up with the shotgun made up for it.

Yeah, but who would YOU cast?

I shit you not, I think Keisha Knight Pulliam could pull it off.
