Yeah, pretty much. Loki is the only villain who wasn't a one-sided big-bad. Even Ultron, who had an interesting concept, was pretty dull in implementation. I still enjoy the MCU films, but I can't help but wonder how much better they would be if the enemies and villains had actual personality and heft to them. Hoping Sony's Spiderman movie will fix some of that.

I'm not sure I understand where Ridley Scott is ultimately going anymore with the Alien series. Still not sure how we got here from Alien.

Me neither. Alien + Aliens were the epitome of the whole franchise.
