At $500 thats a bit out of my price range. For $500 I can build a pretty decent gaming computer.EvilRyu2099 wrote:You can put a capture Device in the existing 3DS models.. http://www.3dsvideocapture.com/

Re: Nintendo Announces 2DS....thoughts?
Even though im not a big Nintendo fan these days, i would buy this system if i wanted a new DS (but i LOVE my Vita so im fine).
I think the system looks good, and i like the flat tablet like design. I never liked the clamshell design. And with its cheaper price point, this looks like the best version of the newer DS's IMO.
And I thought that a retro gaming forum would like the name 2DS instead of 3DS. I guess not

I'm all for it.
I had zero interest in 3DS. This one appeals to me more.
Now Nintendo, take this a step further. Let me play 2DS/3DS games on a WiiU. I'll use the TV set as the top screen and the WiiU gamepad as the bottom touch screen. If you can make the Gameboy player, you can make this happen.

Let's not forget about the Super Gameboy. Looks like the DS/3DS are the only handhelds not getting a TV version.samsonlonghair wrote:I'm all for it.

Good point, Frag. I love the Super Gameboy. Last month, I went down to Pixel Nation in Bluefield to play Ghostbusters on the Super Gameboy with Kevin. We had a blast. Half the fun was making a custom color palette with the Super Gameboy.Frag Mortuus wrote:Let's not forget about the Super Gameboy. Rumor has it that a Luigi themed 30th Anniversary is getting released. THAT will be my 2DS purchase.

That is really nice looking. Not tacky like some special editions.casterofdreams wrote:Rumor has it that a Luigi themed 30th Anniversary is getting released. THAT will be my 2DS purchase.

You'd have to allow screen swapping on the fly though. For ex., playing through Castlevania games on the gamepad would kind of defeat the purpose (but is necessary for touch screen segments).
I shall hope in vain
Also, Super Game Boy is still the most interesting way to rock most original Game Boy carts.
