Little gap just incase people would rather wait till they see the episode since they had to do valentines stuff and missed it - obviously I did not.
Since we know that Sayid gets off the island my thought is that the others take over the group. Ben has Sayid killing off those from the Dharma Initiative, while Abaddon represents the group and is trying to kill off the other survivors and/or the others. However the timetraveling element that is brought up not only by Faraday but by the video for The Orchid, while cheesy, may hold the key to everything. It is only a thirty minute or so delay, but daggum these plot devices, I should not be thinking so much about this, its only a tv show - and not even Dr Who.
And I still say the monster is a dinosaur.
I think what makes Lost so unique is it's unbelievably non-linear approach to storytelling. It's like taking apart a jigsaw puzzle, scattering the pieces everywhere, then trying to put it all together. The producers have described the show this way and I think I agree
I do agree that Sayid is killing to protect whoever is on the island. I can't see any other reason why he would. It's a pretty shocking turn for his character. It's implied that the girl who shot Sayid works for the same guy who visited Hurley in the mental hospital, and he seemed quite curious about whether or not there were any living Losties left on the island.
I have to point out a few things that caught my attention in this episode:
-"Oh great, the boat brought us another Sawyer", LOL.
-Damn you Hurley! You're suppossed to be the honest one. See! Locke is a corrupt influence.
-Why the hell does nothing EVER go according to plan with Sayid? He got ambushed by Locke to NO ONE'S surprise. Great rib from Ben about the bet. Speaking of which...
-I'm a little surprised that Sayid did not see through Hurley's lies. Did the writers forget that this is one of Sayid's strengths?
-Loved Jack's burn on Kate. I know it was meant as a joke, but it just illustrates one out of many reasons that I've never liked her.
-The physicist has always been the character I found most interesting among the four "Freighties". Look how quickly he's unravelling everything about the island.
-What the hell is up with Jacob's cabin? Does it move at will now? And if so, why? What's the connection between Hurley, Locke and Ben?
-Good to see Desmond back in the story. He's a fascinating character and it will be VERY interesting to see how he fits in with the time distortion thing once that chopper gets away from the island. I'm pretty sure that the writer's confirmed that Desmond DID go back in time last season.
