Why doesn't it? Some want the attention to their group. Naming teams after the group is meant to honor and pay homage to them, not to degrade them.

So if some want it gone and some want it to stay?

There is also historical tradition with these team names. They were so named before rampant political correctness has taken over.

But either way, if the owner wants to keep the name, it is his choice.

Exactly. Our government really listens to what they and takes them seriously. Mainly due to all the torture they put these poor people through earlier. So getting a name changed wouldn't be easy but it also wouldn't be too hard.
