Oh, for sure. Just a matter of taste.

For instance, I'll take Mega Man 2 on the NES over any HD version of it (although I own one). On the flip side, Super Mario Bros. 3 on the GBA or Gamecube player is pretty sweet, as it feels like the same game with a polish. Any "improvements" on gameplay I don't like. Some HD versions of classics have too much tweaking.

I'll also add that I like the way Sonic Generations did things. It's not an HD version of Sonic, but they got the feel of Sonic right. That's what matters the most to me.

/broken record.

Well, in case no one is aware they have made quite a few changes to the game itself. I'd say they make it more of a remake than an HD up-port. Here are some notable changes:

- Triforce quest – the five Triforce pieces can now be grabbed directly
- Only the remaining three require translated charts instead of eight
- Hero Mode available from the start
- Picto Box has been upgraded
- Upgraded camera could still be used to snap photos of unsuspecting villagers or enemies
- Pictures can go up on Miiverse
- Link can also take funny self-photographs
- Switch between happy, sad, and surprised emotions
- Get the Swift Sail at the auction house after completion of the first dungeon
- No alert via an in-game prompt to signal the special sails availability
- No longer possible to accidentally skip Tingle’s island, as the developers have inserted an introduction to the quirky character into the main quest
- Enhanced first-person camera
- Can now have full movement in that perspective
- Can travel through hallways and shoot arrows like you’re in a FPS

We also have known for quite a while that you can sail much faster now.

I personally can't wait as I've never played Wind Waker.

I hope the original Wind Waker will drop in price when this releases.

I personally see those as largely trivial and superfluous changes (in some cases, even detrimental to my enjoyment of the experience) so I still wonder, where is the part that warrants a full price, single game release.

I for one am very excited. I have always found the camera function in the game to be a lot of fun. After finishing PIkmin 3 and experiencing it's camera, using the GamePad to look around freely is unreal and is such a joy to use.

The ability to move around in a first person perspective and use the pad to shoot arrows looks like it will really add some cool depth. I have 100% Wind Waker in the past, so I will probably start from scratch in Hero Mode. I can not wait! I am curious to know if they will have the New-Game+ dialog like the original did.

A lot of people are moaning about the game as it is just a remake with some slight changes, but the fact of the matter is, Wind Waker was one of the most underrated games in the series and I feel is honestly one of the best (next to Majora's Mask and Link's Awakening). The game was very easy in comparison to others in the series however, but the Hero Mode, that will add a new layer of challenge.

Seriously though, that camera! Exploration has always been a part of the Zelda franchise, but the immersive quality of the gamepad as a camera adds so much depth. Being able to share it in the Miiverse makes it infinitely more expressive. You not only can share your experiences with others with interesting and unique photographs, you can see what other people find interesting and may show you something you missed.

Putting that in as a "message in a bottle" adds even more interesting depth. I am very excited!

Definitely. This would be a great update to the game to show people who overlooked it what they missed out on-- at $25 MSRP. It would be nice if people would look past the Nintendo branding every once in a while to see that the market for these kinds of updates is rather clearly defined at this point, and $60 for a single HD upgrade would be little more than highway robbery.

That's really my main complaint, though. If full price is really worth it to someone (even though the GC version is still readily available) then--I don't know--bless his heart.

I have no problem with the price. As someone who has never played WW, I am waiting for the HD release even though I could just borrow the GCN version from a friend. Might as well wait for the HD release.

This bundle is a good way for nintendo to increase the install base of wiiu.

Smart business move, Nintendo.

I think the mistake here is behaving like this is simply a graphical upgrade. It's a remake, that shouldn't be confused with an HD-ification.

That's debatable. Also, just semantics.
