A nice setup for it is the Playstation 3D display. With a 24" screen, you're not going to want to sit too far away anyway, and the monitor has a special PSP zoom mode that fits game video exactly to the screen.

My psp 3000 with the extended life battery lasts nearly 11 hours

I got 7 - 8 hours when I had a PSP 3000. But I also only used the memory stick. Never used UMD. Vita is about 5 hours. 3DS is about 3 1/2. 3DS XL is solid like the Vita.

Thats lowest brightness no sound and running a game off the memory stick, emulators tend to drain the batteries on mine faster

For what it's worth, I generally had WiFI off on the PSP. Low - mid brightness and headphones. With the Vita I leave the WiFi and Bluetooth on because it doesn't greatly affect the battery. With my 3DS XL I leave the WiFi off unless necessary because it does affect battery life quite a bit.

Back to PSP and PS2. Both are wonderful. :D

That is good to know! I hope to snag one of these if it ever gets near ~$100.

I saw that too and now I holding out for the day when they get back to that price. Also I need to have a third bedroom or something that it would actually make sense having it in....
