It was supposed to be some team-building exercise. I just filled out the list then let everyone else argue about it. I'm not much of a team-player, I suppose.

You're right. A knight should been the first thing you need in any emergency, especially if you are stranded in a northern forest. It should not have been grouped with an axe and hatchet like that! Clearly it is its own item.

Would an axe-wielding knight be an acceptable combination? You'd save space!

Yes, I think it would be acceptable. Also, if it is cold, you can kill the knight and warm your hands inside of him; and then eat him when you are warmed up.
