Segata Sanshiro makes up for not getting my other two choices.

Agreed. If he gets in, I'm buying the DLC.

was the voting for US fans only, or international? Hatsune Miku is hugely popular in Japan, so if Japanese fans had input then this is far from a suprise for me. If it was US only, then it's a little surprising, but even then I'm not exactly shocked seeing as how many sites I frequent (Kotaku, HG101, Sega-Addicts, etc) cover the Project Diva games fairly regularly. Seems like the series is one of the more popular imports this generation.

Miku and other vocaloid stuff is insanely popular with the j-pop crowd.

We sell wall scrolls of her at the store I work at, she is crazy popular. Especially with teen otaku girls.

I voted for the Phantasy Star and Valkyria characters.

I also voted for Miku. I don't like most "vocaloid" music, but the Project Diva games represent.

I think Sakura would have been a better choice than Miku, but whatever I guess.

I'm glad this whole event went over well though. Hopefully when this all gets presented to Sega something will come of it.
