You're usually lookin at at least a couple hundred for a good upscan converter.

The advantage going that way though is that you can get japanese RGB/SCART cables for most consoles and use then on VGA. Euro/Japan SCART uses a different pin configuration, so you have to be sure they're japanese cables.

Need FreeMCboot? I'll install it on your PS2 Memory Card for free if you cover postage both ways.
Consoles: I have too much stuff
Arcade: No seriously, I have too much stuff. Someone grab a shovel and dig me out of my basement.

Edit; the pinouts are the same, but the shape of the din connector itself is different. If it would physically fit, it should work.

from http://www.digitpress.com/forum/showthread.php?t=82505
"The Neo Geo (all models) and Genesis 1 RGB cables are identical in construction.. I should know, I make them reguarly.

The only difference is, the connector for the Genesis 1 has to be 8 pin offset din, whereas for Neo Geo you can use offset din or circular din (circular is much easier and cheaper to find) "

However something like this may be a good bet instead of trying to track down an XRGB, but you'd pretty much want to make your own cables.
