@ Saturnfun, I agree. No more discussion of this 'coors light' or Guinness bullshit. That is not beer. It's crap.
Wrong. It's not even Brewdog's strongest beer any more, It's since been surpassed by their own Sink the Bismark @ 41% which has
also been surpassed by their own The End Of History @ 55%. Incidentally t' Koelschip have a 'beer' called Start The Future which is 60%. However I have it on good authority that it's a blend with cask strength whiskey, so not technically a beer.
I don't like TNP, I tried bottle number 37, and I was disappointed, I was expecting something like their Paradox Smokehead, something that has that lovely warming whiskey flavour whilst being extremely smooth to drink. It's not, it's just alcohol. However, I've heard from people who have tried the 3rd and 4th batches, and some that have had the 1st batch but almost a year later that the beer tastes good. Whether this has something to do with age of the beer, or they're simply trying to justify the money they paid for it I don't know. I prefer the vastly superior Sink the Bismarck to the TNP, incredibly hoppy but really malty as well, It's like really peaty whiskey without the kick. Incredibly drinkable, to the point of it being extremely dangerous. In this country it comes in a paper bag with 41 written on it and a stopper on a piece of tatty string around the neck. We sell it for £70 a bottle.
The best beer I've had recently is Mikkeller Black 16%.

Amazing. Massive hops, malt, hint of caramel, almost sherry quality to it. Gorgeous.
