I remember throwing NES controllers a few times when I was younger, but I've only ever destroyed a piece of electronics once.

I had an old single disc stereo sized CD player that was really old. It occasionally had issues with not closing all the way and engaging the disc. It would then spit them back out. I had opened up and fiddled with it many times, but this was before I really knew what I was doing. After fiddling with it 4 or 5 times in one week, I couldn't get it cooperating again. I was under a lot of stress at the time and it was really pissing me off. Ended up smashing it in the kitchen and scaring the hell out of my roommates in my fit of rage.

My friend has a serious problem with breaking controllers, games and accessories to the point that I don't trust any controller in his house as being accurate because it is a fact that it had been thrown at some point.

One time after losing a shit load of souls in Demon's Souls, he took the disc out and smashed it with a hammer.

I forgot i wasn't using my wavebird and I threw my controller at the wall. The Gamecube followed it. Thankfully, everyhting stayed working and I vowed to only throw wireless controllers from that point on

A friend of a friend in HS was a known anger management kid. Homeboy went through dozens of SNES controllers and even managed to beat his SNES console so bad that it eventually was more circuit board than plastic showing. It still worked! SNES power baby~

Yeah i had ninja gaiden as a kid and for me mt punch out and castlevania for the nes and street fighter 2 turbo for the snes. I actually took the nes system threw it to the wall when I was at the very end of castlevania and i had two to three hits left to kill dracula and sure enough the god damn system started to get fuzzy and then froze on me. I punched the thing pulled the plugs and threw it to the wall. I cracked the lid and sure enough the system worked fine. The wall had a hole and I lost my nes for two weeks. Today when i get pissed i say what the fuck alot, throw the controller down and shut the thing off.

Also, I headbutted my game gear, shattered the hell out of the fragile screen. I had the damn thing since I was 5, and I broke it when I was 14. sigh

And Ps2 Controllers are shit, last year I just dropped the controller one foot onto carpet, (silent rage), and both rumbles packs broke loose internally. The rumble packs went ape shit the next time I played; my controller rumbled itself to death.

That's like what? The third testimonial to the toughness of the SNES? That thing is the shit.

I want to give the NES its props too, but we know what a pain in the ass that thing was with the blowing into the damn cartridges and the blue screens all the time
