What concerts have you attended?

Back in the day you could find me in the pit kicking out the jams with some bands you've heard of, others probably not-

Bad Religion (3x)
Stiff Little Fingers
Green Day (3x.... before they were HUGE)
Rancid
AFI
Face To Face
NOFX
No Use For A Name
The Reverend Horton Heat (2x)
All
The Mighty Mighty Bosstones (2x)
Sloppy Seconds (3x) You can see me in the crowd on the cover of their live album!
88 Fingers Louie
Pennywise
U.S. Bombs
The Dropkick Murphy's (at a basement show in front of less than 40 people)

I've also seen many other touring and local punk bands whose names escape me at various house and rental hall shows over the years. And due to my job i've also worked at several country and christian music festivals... with earplugs in.

What do you classify as shitty metal?

I haven't been to many concerts untill I moved to Atlanta 6 years ago. Yep mostly METAL!
I am only listing mostly the headliners, because I mostly ignored the other bands.

Exodus
Slayer
Testament
Iced Earth
Helloween
Symphony X
Hallows Eve
Destruction
King Diamond
Megadeth
Judas Priest
Warbringer
Kreator
Yngwie Malmsteen's Rising Force
Savatage (acoustic show)
Death Angel
Overkill
Gamma Ray

I think there is more I can't remember.

My Fiance mostly likes industrial, so here's some I went with her since she went to some of mine.

KMFDM
Bella Morte
Einsturzende neubauten
Front 242
Ministry

Thats all I can remember

I use to be in a crappy punk band and we shared the stage with:

The US Bombs
The Virus
The Causualties

I was just filling in as guitarist. All three of the bands crashed at my house. They thought I was awesome cause I could tremelo pick fast. Punks are sure funny.

Used to do a concert every couple weeks for several years straight. Off the top of my head...

Metallica
Ted Leo & The Pharmacists
Daft Punk
Muse
Rolling Stones
Aerosmith
Cheap Trick
Rush
Styx
Deftones
Incubus
Weezer
Dave Matthews Band
Phish
Transiberian Orchestra
London Symphony Orchestra w/ John Williams directing

Hit up several festivals as well... buuut in my semi-old age I've slacked off on the concerts due to time/money constraints.

And for concert noobs... when there's an option always go for the basement show. Smaller crowds, more intense. Most of the shows I went to were of that variety. Obviously not the orchs and fests but most of the others.

Oh and related to video games MagFest and Video Games Live.

Not been to concerts for years, when I was young I had to have operations on my ears to stop me going deaf, my hearing is fine, but I still go deaf in a party type environment where there is lots of chatter, and loud music (not heavy metal though as deeper sounds) makes my ears whistle loudly, and painfully - same issue on aircraft too.

Ones I have been on:

Motorhead (it was organised by the local 'Angles) 1984

Deep Purple (also Meatloaf and others were on the same venue), c. 1986

Dio (think it was about 1988) - didn't like them much, a bit boring

Bad News - for the lolz, it was a real piss take - the band had a couple of plants in the audience shouting "hey hey Bad News - fuck off bad news" loudly, and my mate and I at the time were being more enthusiastic than the plants were - the band loved it! We got a lot of looks from the audience! lol

Elton John - only because my wife wanted to see him in an open air concert - it was ok I guess.

Only band I wanted to see when I had the chance was Twisted Sister a couple of years ago, but didn't go in the end - wish I had though! (one of my favourite bands) - wife didn't want to go to it so I didn't go (we do things together mostly).

If it's any comfort to you metal is my least favourite type of music. ;) I guess it's a part of the rebellious youth phase, many do grow out of it.
Must... resist... urge... to comment (and subsequently turn this into a metal/anti-metal flamefest).

Anyways, I've seen Iron Maiden, Amon Amarth (x2), Children of Bodom (though I pretty much only went to see Skeletonwitch), Ensiferum (best concert I've ever been to), Paganfest '09 (which featured Swashbuckle, Blackguard, Moonsorrow, Primordial, and Korpiklaani), Korpiklaani, a show featuring Skeletonwitch and some other random bands (they also opened for Amon Amarth one of those times, so I've seen them thrice), and probably a couple others I'm forgetting. I'm also seeing Moonsorrow in a couple weeks.
I'm known as ZebetiteGlitch or Zeza Von Thantos on other platforms.

Wow. Probably too many to mention. I have like a shoebox full of stubs. Maybe I'll look through them and list some later.

Lit, Radiohead, Beck, Blur, Flogging Molly, Green Day, Reel Big Fish, Ozomatli (sp?), Jurassic 5, Fuel, Mighty Mighty Bosstones, NoFX, Bad Religion, Ash, The Pillows, Dave Matthews Band (UGH! Had to go with a gf at the time), GLove and Special Sauce (great stuff, also he got up with a local band and free-styled at a surf contest I was in at Avalon, NJ when he was vacationing there), Tenacious D, Spring Heeled Jack, Anti-Flag, AFI, Rancid, Less Than Jake, Goldfinger, The Monkeys (reunion tour), Suicide Machines, Weezer, and that's about all I can remember.

Many of these bands I saw multiple times like Radiohead and Reel Big Fish. For some reason I think I have seen Fuel more than I have seen any other band - funny thing is I was not really that into Fuel. I had their first album and thought it was really good. They put on a good show. I think it was because they were constantly in my area and also because a lot of bands I wanted to see were opening for them. Sssstttrrraaannngggeeee...

Now that I actually think about it, I've only been to two real concerts. One was some country show when I was like 5, I think it was Alan Jackson... and in July, 2007 I saw the White Stripes, they were playing at the Colosseum near my house (Like 3 minutes walking distance).
