i think killer instinct is fun but i dont think its an in depth game compare to 3rd Strike or Tekken and Virtua fighter. But no doubt KI is very enjoyable for fighting game fanatics.

I played both KI and KI2 (even own KI Gold for N64). not a huge fun of this game but their combo rocks. :)

i was huge into this game in 96/97 but when i played it again just a few years later i cringed at how overused the characters' screams and groans are! i guess i was too into the game back then to notice, but ugh...

aside from that, i think i can agree that it's a deep game. it's nice when fighting games don't just rip off the street fighter formula

Me and my big brother played the shit out of KI Gold when it came out. We must have rented it about four hundred times. I picked it up for about 3 bucks at the same video store as it was going out of business a few years back. Brought back a lot of memories.

i remember back in the days the KI machine and the Ultimate MK3 was my main interest when i step in the arcades. UK3 was always too packed and so was KI, when i actually had chance to play Ki i lost within a couple mins. But at least i experience it and hope that the upcoming Killer Instinct Gold would have the CG movie or the arcade and the smoothness of the charactors. I was Dead Wrong KI Gold for the N64 was okay but by no means match anything of the arcade at all. I did eventually get the KI gold for n64 but it wasnt til i found out about the KI emulator for the PC that i actually got to play the best version of KI ever produce.

Yeah, Killer Instinct Gold was not the port of KI2 I wanted it to be.

Still, it's definitely one of the best fighting games on the Nintendo 64.
