Re: to buy or not to buy...
Wait a couple of days and then send an email from another account asking if it's available and that you're interested.
I've had some users ignore my initial email (once I was inquiring about splitting a lot) and had success with a different email pretending it was my wife (she has a different last name) expressing interest in some of the stuff. It's a good way to see what's still available without seeming over interested.

Hopefully my craigslist meet tonight goes smoother than this one. I'm picking up an NES, SNES, 27 games, game genie, 2 super fami controllers for $50. I'll post pics in the "finds" thread later on.

That sounds like a much better deal than the Genesis!s1mplehumar wrote:Hopefully my craigslist meet tonight goes smoother than this one. I'm picking up an NES, SNES, 27 games, game genie, 2 super fami controllers for $50. I'll post pics in the "finds" thread later on.

Mine has had systems for $5 too, but they're for the console only. Controllers and power (if they have them) are generally $5 as well. I picked up a Black GC there the other week. I didn't need it, but my other GCs are indigo and platinum and I just couldn't pass it up. I spent $5 on the power brick for the Genesis I tossed in the auction though.lost_within wrote:classicgamer5 wrote: My local GoodWill sells Genesis systems (all cable and controllers=a game) for only $5. It was the potential condition of everything that had me holding on. That's pretty important to me.girlracer wrote:i really didn't think that was a great deal, but then again i got a cdx with like 7 games for $40 from craigslist

Pass. Geneses are dirt-cheap these days, and there's nothing particularly rare or valuable in that bundle. You can do much better than that bundle.

Well...I know this is on a sour note...but I found one that was in...almost perfect condition. I am going to post pics in the "finds of the day" section here in a second. I only post saying that due to MAYBE selling it. Just dont know yet, its the cleanest one I have found to date...mod man has/had my other one.
Yep, I know im the one ya love to hate.

Re: to buy or not to buy...
Good call on the counter-offer, lost_within. This just in. Hot off the press...
if you still want it for $30 its yours. sorry bout all the run around. i can meet thursday evening. 7:30pm or after would be the most convenient for me. if that works for you, if you wanted it earlier, we'd have to meet at my job, but i'd rather not do that. i will bring the system with me today in case you can stop by my work anytime between 5:30 and 11pm. let me know if you're still interested in it. hope the taste isn't too sour.
