I don't understand: what kind of motion controls did you expect? Motion is the most novel part of Wii controls, but also the least useful in a general sense.
The only practical examples of motion controls that I can think of are sports games, which have been covered reasonably well. (Golf and Tennis games in particular go a long way towards justifying owning a Wii, as do a couple of the light-hearted racing games.) Beyond that what "hardcore" applications of motion did you want to see? Sword fighting is the big dream for many people, but 1-to-1 controls weren't possible so it really wouldn't be a great game.
Oh, and it would seem a bit hasty to judge a console after only playing 3 games. Everyone enjoys different types of games, and there's nothing wrong with that. Wii also isn't the best choice for everyone. But it's not an "insult to gaming" either. LOL
