Well this one ties up all the loose ends so if you want you can but you can still get all you need through playing just this game. There are flashbacks etc, and several little things like that to make it understandable to even people who have never played any of the games. I actually played this one first, then went on to finish the others.JDMThoughts wrote:I actually purchased this not too long ago with the strategy guide for cheap. like 17 dollars shipped to my door cheap. I have never been a huge fan of this series, and only completed the first on on PSX, should I go through and play the other ones before I get involved with this one?

I personally feel that playing the others first is the better way to go. But that's just me.

The only way to deactivate the ray beam and fight back the vampire alien threat is with a complicated series of foot patterns on the device's control board that looks remarkably like a DDR pad. We will all praise this man for saving our lives and buy him a mountain of stuffed animals.

With a series as great as Metal Gear you might as well get the full package. Its just too good of a story to miss and watch through flashbacks.Droid party wrote:I personally feel that playing the others first is the better way to go. But that's just me.
