But it is my home, just as everyone elses who lives here. And anyone who wants to live here. Just let us know before hand.
That's what analogies are... they aren't "right on the nose" and literal... if they were, they wouldn't infer things, and instead state things.
Analogy - a form of reasoning in which one thing is inferred to be similar to another thing in a certain respect, on the basis of the known similarity between the things in other respects.
country borders is analogous to the walls of my hosue
applying for citizenship - analogous to knocking on my door
being welcomed in as a citizen - analogous to me offering you a beer
breaking in my window - analogous to sneaking across borders
deporting illegals - analogous to me calling the cops and protecting my self with my arms
I guess making it a bit of an annecdote is "ridiculous" for you.

Yeah, but analogies are supposed to have some connection with the case at hand, otherwise we can't infer anything from them. Thus, you can tell who gets in your house because it is your property. Since your country is not your property, not is it anyone's, it is difficult to see the similarity between the situations.
It's good to know that you don't advocate shooting immigrants, but you are against them nonetheless. Let's see, illegal immigrants are morally reprehensible because they crossed an imaginary line on a map, not affecting you in the slightest in the process. Is that correct?

Yes, we own this land. We pay our taxes to our goverment and have a stake in the representative society. As a citizen I have the right to live here.
I'm just asking for these others to declare themselves a citizen! This way our society functions as it is supposed to. If you don't want to follow our rules here in our society get the hell out. That's all.
I'm not gonna come to your country and piss on your rules. No, those are your rules and I will respect them. So respect ours. Come in the pre-planned way that we've allowed SO MANY others in successfully in the past.
As for the "process" of getting citizenship. May some people consider it to difficult, or to easy, whatever. that wasn't my point... I don't agree 100% with the process we make immigrants go with. But that's what our democracy for... to set up rules based on majority decission. And we will work on making a better method for immigrants to gain access. Still doesn't mean we should turn a blind eye to people ignoring what rules we put into place out right.

You know I didn't even realize the changes were happening on Youtube, but ultimately it doesn't really matter. I use youtube the same as I would before. I've never had some following for anyone's personal channel. I will usually just watch something if it gets linked to from the forums or recommended from a friend. Youtube is changing, but its not important.

I was agreeing with you, I thought it was ridiculous too. Jeez...

The way you phrased it, it could go either way, but since you've ridden my posts with smartass replies like 4 times prior, I assumed your quest was ongoing.the King wrote:I was agreeing with you, I thought it was ridiculous too. Jeez...

All the users need to know is if youtube displeases them, they need to find another site. It's that simple. Don't stick with a sinking ship. You do no have a voice on youtube and you never did. They will not change for your sake. All you can do is leave when it starts to suck.
Much better version:
It's a company. Companies try to make money. It's not a government social service for the betterment of your life or for the promotion of goofballs with wacky FM DJ voices. If little guys can't get their stuff seen there in the future, something else will pop up to replace it. Everything jumps the shark at some point, especially on the internet.
Also, was this guy sexually assaulted by someone in a Mickey costume as a child? Dude has a lot of Disney rage.
Re: HULU TUBE - PHASING YOU OUT OF YOUTUBE
Nobody said you didn't. The point is, there's no reason why people can't cross a line and live in your country. They're not morally reprehensible for that, they're not harming anyone.lordofduct wrote:Yes, we own this land. We pay our taxes to our goverment and have a stake in the representative society. Lots of people would love to become "citizens". They don't like to live in fear, worrying that they might some time be stopped by a cop and jailed because they don't have your precious documents. What you're asking is an unsurmountable task for many people. It's cute to say that everyone should follow the rules, but if the rules are wrong, screw them.I'm just asking for these others to declare themselves a citizen! This way our society functions as it is supposed to. If you don't want to follow our rules here in our society get the hell out. That's all.
Here's what I don't get. Many Americans (this is also valid for many other countries) are "against" illegal immigrants. People, like you, say that everyone should follow those millions of rules and guidelines designed to keep those damn Mexicans out. But the funny thing is, IMO, is that the American citizen in the voting booth is different from the American citizen in his or her daily life.I'm not gonna come to your country and piss on your rules. No, those are your rules and I will respect them. So respect ours. Come in the pre-planned way that we've allowed SO MANY others in successfully in the past.

When voting, people want restricted immigration and rigid rules to which immigrants ought to comply. But once out, the American people will go ahead and have business with those illegal immigrants. They will sell them stuff, educate their children, employ them in their businesses, rent or sell them a place to live. It's not only the immigrants who want in. Americans have repeatedly demonstrated that they want immigrants too.
However, these draconian rules are still held in high regard culturally. Despite what the ordinary people's actions show.
