Also, this is hardly "retro" - if we look at the history of the series we haven't played anything that was from 1999 or later other than Crazy Taxi, I believe...

eh, that's pretty nit-picky. A game that's over a decade old I'd have no problem calling "retro."

EDIT: weren't all those Sega light gun games post-1999? And Jet Grind Radio? Riviera? Super Monkey Ball?

I haven't participated in Together Retro yet, but I really need to do so. I think I'll start next month.

So, does that mean this December is shmups?

Is there an easy way to see what games have been done recently? I'd like to submit some ideas, but I don't want to suggest something that has already been done recently.

It might be on the Japanese one, but that's easy to get. It also runs very well in MAME.
