No argument there. Any collector who claims they don't resell at some point is a liar or an extreme hoarder. It just comes with collecting. I find condition upgrades all the time and sell off the stuff that no longer has a place in my collection. I also take a chance on beat up "as-is" consoles to refurbish, piece them together with other parts and accessories to make a complete system and find them a new home. It's like a sub-hobby for me. I don't give it away at cost but I don't consult eBay Buy it Now prices either. Whatever I make in profit cycles it's way back into the collection in some way so I don't have to use my income for games. Still, I'm sure a lot of people out there may pile me in the douchebag reseller category simply based on the fact that I buy stuff I have no intention of keeping just to sell off at a profit.storino03 wrote:We are all resellers in our own ways. That's like saying collectors don't buy games to later sell or trade to either pay for more games or other bills, etc.
I think the common annoyance is the guys who have no idea what the games are or any interest in them outside of putting them on eBay for the highest possible price. At the end of the day, I don't care that someone bought something before I got to it and just sells it off for whatever reason but it annoys the shit out of me to someone grab every single game of the shelf w/o even looking at them, pile them into an overflowing cart, and sit down in a chair to look everything up on eBay before deciding to buy.
The debate about reselling games has seen life numerous times in this thread so it's pointless to rehash it but I was only commenting on how a couple of stores have those particular types of resellers.
