Dont know how much they're worth, but you can get one in the meantime until you find that famicom.

I cant help with the language barrier though.
I was debating getting her a copy of Gyromite, a proper screwdriver, and a Japanese to English dictionaryto have it as a DIY copy of the game
For the love of god people stop killing innocent Gyromite carts! :D

Retrogate is selling new adapters now, no need anymore.
A Gyromite Adapter is cheaper since most of the time the game is inexpensive at the Swap Meet, Thrift Store or an unknowing owner at a Retro Game store.

I don't like killing a game either, but the Gyromite approach is reliable for single game use since the shell can also be used. This prevents movement between the Adapter and the Famicom game PCB both inside the shell. Throw in a custom cart cover, the converted game an easy insert on a Toaster NES.

My Girlfriend let me open my gift early.

I still have a third part of the gift to open on Christmas. No yellowing and it looks beautiful after a quick clean up. I let her open one of her gifts early.

You guys don't happen to live in Colorado do you? Just curious because I recently sold an SNES w/Yoshi's Island to someone on CO. I thought it would be pretty funny if it was to someone in the forum.

No, she got it at the local store here. It'd be hilarious if she drove to CO - considering we're on the east coast

lol picked up some games on the side as well. They were still doing B2G1 on games so I picked it up along with Assassin's Creed III, and Genji. Also picked up a complete copy of Tokobot Plus Mysteries of the Karakuri to swap out with my loose copy. Muramasa: The Demon Blade and ACIII are for the trade thread. Genji on the other hand I have been dying to play for a while :P. Started to play it on the PS2 a while back only to realize that the copy gamestop shipped me a few years back was a demo copy :P.

On a side note I found a container stuffed full of a games, controllers, and a Genesis I had left over from a yard sale I had a few months back :P. Thought I was missing some stuff when I was sorting through everything the other day but didn't realize how much :P. Would take some pictures of the contents but don't want to disturb the PS3 while it restores itself back to default settings.
