I picked up a newer black Wii with two Wii Motes / Nunchucks and two Classic Controllers last night from someone for $80. It also had New Super Mario Bros still in the disc slot, which I don't think she meant for me to have, as well as a few games that she'd downloaded via Virtual Console. I already have New Super Mario Bros Wii, as well as the majority of the VC titles for their respective original systems, so decided to just wipe the console.
During our negotiations over price, she kept telling me that it was BC, and I assured her that all Wii's are BC, at which point she sent me a link that flat out proved me wrong
I also scored an older Xbox 360 with a Wi-fi Adapter and 60GB HDD around the same time from someone else for $60. I actually already owned one, though mine often wouldn't read game discs. Rather than bust it open and attempt to fix it, I figured I'd just find another one the cheap.
The one I got is a bit beat up, but seems to work fine. The only issue was that the disc tray refused to open when I stood it up vertically. Unwilling to compromise and lay it flat, I sat there being frustrated until my girlfriend found a YouTube tutorial saying that the easiest fix was simply to open the tray, carefully remove and clean the rubber band, and then put it back. Low and behold, after some fiddling and swearing, it worked.
TLDR, I scored a replacement 360, now with a bigger HDD and wireless internet, and a BC Wii with some nice accessories for a grand total of $140. Not too shabby.
