yeah it's a pretty unique game. Tough to wrap your head around at first, too.

Played some DC stuff today. We're on vacation this week and it was a cold rainy day so we stayed in and worked on our Christmas lists and did stuff around the house. But I also popped in Blue Stinger for a while. Then we played Toy Commander's Christmas mission... which was surprisingly difficult. We bailed after a half-dozen failed missions. Then we fired up The Grinch which was a nice surprise. Fun little 3D adventure game. We're both enjoying this one and will keep at it.

TOTALLY UNRELATED: but this time of year, I always start thinking about Phantasy Star Online. I fell in love with that game during a snow storm. And since then I feel like whenever it heads towards Winter, I get an itch to start playing. I feel like my obsession being retriggered is only a snowday away...

Been meaning to buy Illbleed for about 10 years... one day.

Honestly, I had no idea it was connected to Blue Stinger in any way. Very cool.

Hopefully WM will do a DC PSolar reprint.

I know that Dogs from Blue Stinger has a cameo in Illbleed. And there's ads for that same soda drink in both games. Little things sort of connect the two games loosely.

Hopefully WM will do a DC PSolar reprint.

No need for a reprint yet. It's back in stock now: http://www.piersolar.com/

so I learned something interesting this week. We all know that there were 11 issues of Official Dreamcast Magazine right?

And then the more hardcore probably know about Issue #0:

But I never knew about this:

Looks like it was a special issue from Winter 2000 that was entirely codes. Wow.

Don't forget one of the three final bosses you can choose to fight in Illbleed is named Bullstinger.

Tomorrow I have off and my day is going to play some of the Dreamcast games I got from skate323k137. He absolutely did some nice work on the cover arts and can't wait to play some DC tonight and tomorrow.

I think I have a bunch of codes from the earliest games in a book I bought in Japan. It has publishing info, collected review scores, and codes/cheats from every game on the systems it covers up to the date of its release, so lots of Playstation, Saturn, and Neo Geo. But some early Dreamcast, as well.

so I may have fixed the disc read error in one of my DC's thanks to that laser pot adjustment method. Fingers crossed, but it seems to be alive again so far.
