They're both cheap, but Unleashed is far, far superior to '06. '06 is certainly the low point of the series, and I say that being a forgiving fan who did enjoy the game.
On a more important note though, you seriously need to play Colors if you haven't yet. I can't stress that enough. Generations completely topped it, but its still so good.

It didn't get all Sonic Generations-ey until Unleashed, and the only game between the two is Colors. Get them both if you don't have them already. Oh, and don't get the PS2/Wii version of Unleashed. It's made by Dimps.
Is that a 3DS XL in your pocket, or are you just glad to see me? ~ZeroAX

Ummmm? That sounds counter-intuitive. Until Sonic Generations came along, Dimps was widely believed to make better Sonic games than Sega's own Sonic Team. From everything I have heard, the Wii and PS2 versions are desirable if only because there is no annoying hub world. But then again, I hate almost all hub worlds.
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?
So I broke down and used my gift card and paid full price to get a copy of the game...
I hope you guys are right and this is better than the other 3d Sonic Games (minus colors).

I'll put my rep on it.
Yeah, you'll like it. There's really nothing offensive about this particular Sonic game at all. It's so weird to play through it and be like, "Holy shit, I think Sega finally gets it. Has hell frozen over?"
Some of the major gaming sites have given it their seal of approval too. 8 out of 10 from Gamespot, IGN, Gametrailers, Destructoid and a couple of other sites too. I think it deserves higher, but I feel like reviewers are afraid to give a Sonic game a 9 out of 10 as he's fallen so out of favor over the past decade. It's a really polished game though, with a decent amount of content

Gamerforlife and I agree on a game, so hell has frozen over.
