I know enough about it that I'm willing to go ahead and say yes on Shadow Tower instead of deferring. So go right ahead!

I'm finding this format a bit confusing. What do I still need to weigh in on that hasn't already been decided? I think Guardian Legend is too easy, for example, but my vote won't matter at this point on that one...

The ones where votes are split or one has deferred. Needs 2 of 3 judge votes

I guess I mean - which games? The first time through Ex collated a bunch of them, but since then it seems it has been more sporadic and harder to keep track of.

Judging is hard.

I can't give you a full list, but I can give you 1:

Life Force - I have one vote for it, and one against so far!

Okay folks, bear with me.

We ARE getting somewhere. I just updated the OP to reflect current status of registered participants and vetted games.

This is the first time we've ever had this challenge before. Of course there will be hiccups figuring out the best way to keep track of this stuff. If we do this again next year, we will come up with a much better system. But for now, here's the best I can make of what's going on so far...

Prfsnl_gmr, CFFJR, myself (see below) and Strangenova are all good to go. 8)

---

Judges if I ask you to judge something you've already judged before, please forgive me. I'm not getting any younger.

---

Dsheinem was considering God Hand (PS2), King's Field II (PS1), Eye of the Beholder II (DOS). I said yes to God Hand (normal difficulty), King's Field II, and Eye of the Beholder II. I'm not sure if Sarge or Ack weighed in yet on KF II and EotB II. Once they weigh in, we can proceed.

---

Exhuminator is considering Ecco the Dolphin (Genesis), SMB2 JPN (Famicom), and God Hand (normal difficulty). Ecco for GENESIS has been approved across the board (the Sega CD version has checkpoints, it's easier). SMB2 JPN on Famicom was approved by two judges, it's good. Ack approved God Hand, but Sarge deferred on God Hand. Since two judges want God Hand, neither of us can make the final call to break the stalemate. In the OP I said if we end up in that kind of situation, Ack's the final judge. So that means God Hand is good to go, on at least Normal difficulty. So I'm all set!

---

Fastbilly was considering Steel Battalion (Xbox), Top Gun (NES), Ghosts n Goblins (NES). I say YES to all of those. Dsh and Sarge weigh in please.

---

Jmustang1968 was considering TMNT (NES), Robocop VS Terminator (Genesis), Contra III (SNES), Fatal Labyrinth (Genesis). I think everybody said yes to all of those. So he can pick which three he wants to attempt.

---

Kuruwin was considering X-Com (DOS), Bucky O'Hare (NES), Power Blade (NES), Mega Man 2 (NES). I say yes to X-Com and Power Blade. Dsh and Sarge please weigh in.

---

Laurenhiya21 has so far picked Prince of Persia (SNES), which I think we judges all agreed YES to. She's still working on her other picks.

---

Sarge was considering Ghouls 'N' Ghosts (NES), Hagane (SNES), Ghouls 'N Ghosts (Genesis), The 7th Saga (SNES), Castlevania: The Adventure (GB). I say YES to all of those. Need Dsh and Ack to weigh in.

---

I totally missed were Pierrot had joined, or at least I think he did. He was considering Ecco the Dolphin (Genesis), Xanadu (Saturn), and Umihara Kawase (SFC). I say YES to all of those. Dsh and Sarge please weigh in.

---

Also, I think Alienjesus joined. So far he submitted these games: Bionic Commando (NES) and Devil May Cry (PS3). I say YES to both of those. Need Dsh and Sarge to weigh in. Then Alienjesus just needs to pick one more game.

---

Isiolia had made mention of possibly joining, I don't know if he did or not.

---

So as it stands right now, I believe we have 12 official participants, with 4 participants having vetted lists. We are definitely making good progress.

Thanks to everyone for helping, and to the judges as well. Hope even more folks join up! :)

Ok, I've paired down Exhuminator's suggestions to these ones:

Adventure of Little Ralph (PS1)
Castlevania Chronicles (PS1)
Jumping Flash! 1 (PS1)
Magical Pop´n (SNES)
Mega Man X1 (SNES)
Shockman (Turbo)
Somer Assault (Turbo)
Alisia Dragoon (GEN)
Marvel Land (GEN)

I don't think any of these have been brought up yet, so what are the judges thoughts on these?

Since I suggested them, my judgement is already obvious, but just for legitimacy's sake:

I'm pretty sure I chimed in on everything up until now.

Anyway, these were my choices, and Exhuminator's judgment on them.

Contra: Hard Corps (JP or US) = USA version yes, JPN version no
Life Force = No (great game, but easy compared to many other NES shmups)
Ghouls 'N' Ghosts (Genesis) = Yes
Power Blazer (Famicom) = I defer
Adventure Island II/III (the first game is just too blah) = I defer
Power Blade II (don't think I've beaten it without save states) = I defer
Hagane (SNES) = Yes
Battletoads in Battlemaniacs = No
The 7th Saga = Yes
Castlevania: The Adventure = YES

I'm also going to add another potential title in Tomb Raider (the original). If it doesn't work for this, it'll work for the summer challenge.
