Because they're doing a Batman-Superman movie, and Christian Bale didn't want to play Batman again.

If Ben Affleck shaved his head, he would be a PERFECT as Lex Luthor. His mannerisms and natural intensity fit the character so well.

Exactly.

Quick story.

If you've ever been on a movie set, you know that everyone involved wants to (and usually are allowed to) bring friends and family. Well, on the set of Chasing Amy a certain someone still didn't like Ben for the character he played in Dazed & Confused and thought him a bully in real life.

A friend passed on that notion, and Ben went to the person and said "Just want to let you know I'm actually a friendly person".

That person responded, "I'm glad you said that", to which Ben responded "You should be".

He'll make a great Bruce/Batman.

I don't really see it as being too much of an issue. As long as he can pull a a decent gravelly voice in Bat-mode and doesn't have face chub sticking out of his bat mask, he'll be fine as far as I'm concerned.

Just the way they have the Batman mask designed is unquestionably going to make it worse.

Why hasn't anyone ever put Kevin Conroy in a live-action Bat-suit? He's easily the best Batman, ever. I know he's a little older, at this point. But nothing a little Hollywood make-up and bulking up can't fix. And why didn't they use him back in the day?
