No, really, it is:

And it works, too
I found it whilst roaming through the thrift store. It didn't have it's faceplate on and they get keyboards in quite frequently, so I almost didn't notice it. It wasn't until I saw the manual and papers with the missing faceplate a little further down on the same shelf that I realized what it was that I had just passed.

It's got the foot pedal, power adapter and came with a stand (not pictured), but try as I might I couldn't find a connector of any kind
And indeed, this is the version that I have. If you look in the photo, you'll see a circular note up in the upper right corner. That is the "piece of plastic", AKA sticker in question. If you turn the faceplate over you can clearly make out the indent for the Nintendo Seal of Quality that's hidden under the sticker. Some of the NES Miracle keyboards were also later converted for PC use - the Nintendo Seal of Quality on these boards was covered up with a piece of plastic.
So maybe I can mod me a cord for this baby if said cord doesn't show up within a couple of weeks. The carts seem to be cheap enough, anyway.
If nothing else, it's a neat new toy to play with, game or not.
