I really don't think so...

The vast majority of the games that I said "nah" too are games that typically did not sell well, are not well-known, or are just demonstrably poor quality games. Some are all of these things. Almost all of them have much better (and better known) expressions of the same/similar ideas within their genre, on their platform, and/or from their era.

That said, I am willing to entertain reasonable arguments about why games should come off the wall of shame. Those arguments should include sales figures, well-resepected "best of" rankings, demonstrable influence of the game, etc. I provided those for my picks and stand by them. I can be sympathetic to others who believe they can do the same for the wall of shame games.

I played it on the Sega CD, so I assume I am shit out of luck.
Yeah, you are. Thankfully you can mitigate some of the difficulty you will face by holding off on certain things and with a good party build, but you are gonna have some trouble too.

To get in on this action...

Parasite Eve II (PS1) - Ehh... not a fan. Below 80 on Metacritic, global sales at 580,000 according to VGChartz, which may not be accurate, but I figure it's a decent ballpark figure. Borderline for sure.
King's Field (PS1)* - Definitely a cult classic. It might be important, but it wasn't wildly successful, nor did it review particularly well at the time. Globally, it sold like 160,000 copies according to our (possibly erroneous) friends at VGChartz.
Beyond Oasis (GEN) - I think this game is bloody fantastic. But I don't know how well it sold. I'd be willing to accept it just because it's the best action RPG that I can think of on Genesis.
Eye of the Beholder II (PC)* - Yep.
Dungeon Keeper (PC) - Yep.
Star Trek: 25th Anniversary (PC) - No idea.
Another World (remaster - Vita) - Yep.
Ratchet & Clank (remaster - Vita) - I've already said it before, I absolutely think these games are classics. Yes.
God Hand (PS2)* - Pretty mediocre reviews on release, and I'm pretty sure it didn't sell all that well, either. The definition of a cult classic, in my opinion.
The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker (remaster - Wii U) - Yep.

Square's own figures put its sales at over 1million = https://web.archive.org/web/20120213144 ... 000-01.pdf

That was before re-releasing it, digital distribution, etc. I think it is hard to argue that a game that sold over 1 million worldwide is not a classic, especially given its development pedigree.

I concur that King's Field (II) is a cult classic. I am keeping it on my list because it is also the only one there.

God Hand...I dunno. I can see the argument for it and against it so it may be the first to go in a potential revised version of my list. It has so often been cited as one of the best ever PS2 games, though, that I think it exceeds "cult" at this point. It made that "1001 Video Games You Must Play Before You Die" book. It was also re-released on PSN, for what that is worth. Here's a good take on it: https://www.vice.com/en_us/article/play ... rtable-915

I thought long and hard on this, and I think I've got a list deserving of the word "Classic":

1. Crime Patrol - 3DO
2. Sewer Shark - 3DO
3. Corpse Killer - 32x CD
4. A Fork in the Tale - PC
5. Wirehead - Sega CD
6. Plumbers Don't Wear Ties - PC
7. Time Traveller - PC port
8. Riana Rouge - PC
9. Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch: Make My Video - Sega CD
10. Ripper - PC

See, MrPopo knows how to do this at a level we can only hope to understand someday. He can see the classic shining from deep inside the dung.

I'm still trying to figure out why It Came from the Desert isn't on that list. CinemaWare is like one of the best classic developers ever!
