Which Version Is Best?

Wii version is basically Gamecube graphics + PS2 extras + new optional controls.
Easily the best.
I think the HD version is based on the PC verison, which in turn is based on the Ps2 version.

Me too. That's why I like the Wii version. I went from that, to trying out a friends PS2 port and it completely messed me upharper wrote:Actually that does sound appealing to me because I love light gun games.Michi wrote:The PS2 and the Gamecube both use the standard controller to aim, while the Wii lets you just aim at the screen with the wiimote to shoot. So the Wii version has more of a lightgun game feel. Personally, I rather liked that, but if you're more of a analog stick type of girl, than you might not.![]()

I'm going to give the Silent Hill series a try. I've already bought the first for PS1, but how should I play 2 and 3 if I like the first? PS2, PC, or PS3?

PS3 since the games have been fixed now. The voice acting in 2 is much better as well.BoringSupreez wrote:I'm going to give the Silent Hill series a try. I've already bought the first for PS1, but how should I play 2 and 3 if I like the first? PS2, PC, or PS3?
Re: Which Version Is Best?
Silent Hill 2 with the widescreen "fix" is quite stable on Win7 x64.

Unless they've actually added back all of the screwed up effects and lighting I'd hardly call it 'fixed'.KillerJuan77 wrote:PS3 since the games have been fixed now. Just get it on PC or Ps2.

Worth noting that you have to do a hack to get it to do widescreen/hd resolution.RyaNtheSlayA wrote:PC. Basically the PS2 version in higher resolution with better graphics...
It's worth it though, game looks really nice.

PC versions are absurdly expensive on Ebay, and they aren't on Steam. Ebay.co.uk prices seem to be more reasonable, so they look like import material to me.

OH I thought you were going to acquire the PC versions through... other means.BoringSupreez wrote:PC versions are absurdly expensive on Ebay, and they aren't on Steam. Ebay.co.uk prices seem to be more reasonable, so they look like import material to me.
Ps2 is really cheap. Original xbox version of 2 is really, REALLY cheap.
