Wii version is basically Gamecube graphics + PS2 extras + new optional controls.
Easily the best.

I think the HD version is based on the PC verison, which in turn is based on the Ps2 version.

So the Wii version has more of a lightgun game feel. Personally, I rather liked that, but if you're more of a analog stick type of girl, than you might not.
Actually that does sound appealing to me because I love light gun games. :)
Me too. That's why I like the Wii version. I went from that, to trying out a friends PS2 port and it completely messed me up

I'm going to give the Silent Hill series a try. I've already bought the first for PS1, but how should I play 2 and 3 if I like the first? PS2, PC, or PS3?

PS3 since the games have been fixed now. The voice acting in 2 is much better as well.

Silent Hill 2 with the widescreen "fix" is quite stable on Win7 x64.

Unless they've actually added back all of the screwed up effects and lighting I'd hardly call it 'fixed'.

Just get it on PC or Ps2.

Worth noting that you have to do a hack to get it to do widescreen/hd resolution.

It's worth it though, game looks really nice.

PC versions are absurdly expensive on Ebay, and they aren't on Steam. Ebay.co.uk prices seem to be more reasonable, so they look like import material to me.

OH I thought you were going to acquire the PC versions through... other means.

Ps2 is really cheap. Original xbox version of 2 is really, REALLY cheap.
