Re: EA Sports Bringing Back NBA Jam For Wii
I'm really bummed that I didn't bring my Wii, as this looks like one of the premier games for the system.

Re: EA Sports Bringing Back NBA Jam For Wii
Im getting a copy today, depending on work. Hoping for arcadestick support
Re: EA Sports Bringing Back NBA Jam For Wii
It has arcade stick support, since it uses classic controller d-pad and left stick. I've found that I actually do better using Wiimote + Chuck; the controls are not remappable and so I keep going back to the original SNES control scheme and it screws me up. On a classic controller it's L = turbo, B = pass, A = steal/shove/spin/crossover (last two are offensive counters to each defensive move), Y = shoot/pump fake/jump, X = pump fake. I'm used to it being AB = shoot/jump, XY = steal/shove, LR = turbo, so I end up finding myself jumping every so often when I want to be stealing and then it's my CPU partner vs. the AI, and he doesn't do so well.

I thought you lost all interest in the Wii version? That looks like interest to me, is there still hope?dsheinem wrote:so no TAG mode?MrPopo wrote:It has arcade stick support, since it uses classic controller d-pad and left stick. No TAG mode, but I don't even think that the 360/PS3 will have it either.
Also, Fast, ZL will also be turbo (can't remember the exact layout of an arcade stick atm). Either L or ZL. R and ZR are dead buttons.

NO TAG MODE?
Wow. I can understand an arcade port not having a Tag Mode (like NBA Hangtime), because it's based on the arcade game experience. But this new one wasn't released in the arcades - it's a game made exclusively for the home console, so not having a Tag Mode is bunk!
Why EA... why must you take every decent game franchise and find a way to ruin it?
