Thanks you saying that last part I'm imagining it literally happening.

But seriously, that really sucks. Have you tried looking around to see if you can maybe catch a different job in the area just in case? I mean that's assuming you even want to stick around in Texas.
The guy that was let go is a hundred times better than me, and has been trained in multiple fields. I'm sure the only reason they didn't let me go is because my one year contract. Once that's up, *poof*.

The closest hosting company is in San Antonio, which I'm not willing to move to. Other than that, there are some software companies and datacenters around here. I've heard of a few places other Admins are ending up after being let go. I'm not sure if I'm up for another risk like this though.

:D Had an amazing weekend where my wonderful wife set up a special dinner with family. I had inklings that that would be it, but there was more. We ate near the legendary arcade and mechanical mecca, Marvin's Marvelous Mechanical Museum and I thought I would show some of the family the awesome place. Little did I know, my wife had that planned, with a bunch of our friends preparing part 2 of the party. We arrived and had a surprise birthday party and had a blast. Marvin's added some really awesome new machines, tons of custom jobs, full MAME cabinets.

Got to play some Samurai Shodown 2 and school some folks, almost beat the Simpsons arcade game and much much more. Was so much fun.

:D Was able to get some games this weekend thanks to some of the gifts. Got Wonderful 101 for WiiU, cashed in on the crazy Amazon bundle deal, Just Cause 2 and DLC, Hitman Absolution, Watch Dogs and Deus Ex: Human Revolution for $14.99

:D Came into school this morning to see a large group of bros, zombified from lack of sleep staring at a TV screen set to the Oxygen network.

Smile: During my lunch break I went to a local grocery store to pick up some pretzels and a six pack for MNF. At the chip aisle (I bought Tabasco chips which I didn't know existed) I heard a "Hey Luke!".

Son of a gun, that shout came from an old college pal of mine who moved back in town, and settled down. After a hug and a "how ya doin'?" talk, I told him "Duder, you have to come over tonight, check out the house, watch the game, and poker is always an option".

Turns out he's on vacation for the entire week, so I bought a case of beer instead of a sixer.

So he's stopping by tonight for poker and MNF in the background (Pitt vs. Cin doesn't mean squat to me). On Friday we're going deep sea fishing on a pay to play boat. He caught 50 lbs. of fresh fish on his last outing, and the crew cleans the fish for "free". For $150 the crew takes you out between 80 to 100 miles out in the ocean, provides all the gear, cleans the fish you catch, and bags the fish as well. I'm a red snapper fiend, so I'm pretty excited about this.

Frown: My back is killing me and I smell like a tube of Ben-Gay with feet.

But another smile: Could care less if tonight will be a one on one poker night or if other friends come over. All it boils down to is that he's down for 5 Card Stud, my favorite card game.

 Can't go to the bloodmobile thing at Typhoon Lagoon today. Because mom works today and we don't have enough gas for me to "just give blood", she decided I didn't need to help someone in need and get a free movie pass for my troubles. I'm so pissed off! I mean, I haven't seen a movie in theaters in a year and a half, and it was The Lorax, which wasn't nearly as good as I though it'd be. Plus, it was in 2D! Even if the movie pass wasn't good for a 3D screening, I still could've found something. But I guess since my mom thinks I'm just doing this just to go to the movies for free, she didn't see it as worth her time. Or maybe she just didn't want to loan me some cash for a drink and some Reese's Pieces.

:D Grandma's back from the Outer Banks.

 I hope she doesn't get that cold we've been dealing with.

:D Free layaway at Walmart!

 But I'm broke!

:D But when I get money again, I'm doing my Christmas shopping.

 Turns out that since I'm seasonal at Typhoon Lagoon, I won't get anything more than the 150 hours I've already gotten. I gotta get that sorted out.

...but from the sound of it, you are only doing it for the movie pass. Well, that and some Reese's Pieces.

I just chose Reese's Pieces at random. I could have just as easily chosen any other bite-sized candy.

And it wasn't just the movie pass. I kinda also wanna know what my blood type is. And there's the fact that the blood they take out goes to help people. So it's a host of reasons.

 My headphones crapped out and since my last check was only worth $89 (of which $40 went to my mom) and I needed to buy groceries, I didn't have enough money to buy a new pair, so I just settled for some cheap-o buds from the Dollar Tree that literally crapped out after only two days!

Getting Gallon pin after Gallon pin makes me feel pretty good about my contributions. Some "nurses" flat out stink at drawing blood and other hardly leave a bruise. Either way, you are helping to save or sustain a life.

Plus, I think when you donate blood, it is one of the very few times it is acceptable to brag (even be it a pint). I hope you find a way to donate.

 /  Got banned from my first forum today. I'm both a bit impressed with myself, and saddened that I could actually be that much of a bitch.
