I totally agree that X3 is the hardest. And that final form of Sigma is exactly how far I got, and where I quit, back in '98 when I was playing it. The best thing I remember about X3 is you can upgrade the buster so much that eventually when you release its maximum charge it completely fills the entire screen with projectiles. Considering what that game costs these days I wish I still had it (to sell).

Ah, someone else who finds the GB MM2 nearly as easy as MMX. 8) Still easier than GB's MM1.

I played a bit of X tonight via X collection.

Beat Flame Mammoth, Chill Penguin, and Storm Eagle, picked up one heart tank in Mammoth's level, picked up two sub tanks, and the boot (obviously) and helmet upgrades.

That's where I stopped. Damned if I can remember where the other two heart tanks I missed are, or a bunch of other upcoming stuff for that matter.

Like weaknesses. I have never in my life been able to remember boss weaknesses in Mega Man games. Sad.

Oh well. It'll come.

Its been a long time since I played any of the X games. Still fun though, that never changes.

Played a little this evening via the PS2 collection. It's decent. Well-designed but it hasn't hooked me yet. We'll see how it goes. Oh, I just remember that I have the old Nintendo Power issue dedicated to this game. That'll be helpful.

Mega Man X's coverage in Nintendo Power was decent (anyone beside me have the MMX Pog set that they gave out? I never opened mine!) but when they shifted to X2 they never included the heart tank location on Morph Moth's stage and they totally dropped the ball on X3.

X2 completed (again). I forget how easy the final confrontation is, compared to the first? Didn't even lose a life. Strike Chain the heck out of that weak ass wireframe.

Completing this game unlocked another art gallery with some cool Zero production designs, and how to get the Shoryuken -

Yeah, now time for *gulp* X3.
