At 33€ each I think they were expensive for used games in general, but then I thought of the Nintendo premium and the fact that they will never fall in price (specially Mario Kart), so I caved in and bought them.
Funnily enough I thought I would skip this Zelda game, since the series has been quite disappointing for me during the past decade, and I just could never get into Link to the Past.
Boy was I pleasantly surprised. This game blows all the top down Zeldas I've played out of the water (even my favorite one so far, Link's Awakening), and it might even be better than Windwaker (reserving judgment on that till I finish it). I LOVE the overworld, it is so nicely designed and full of things to do. I love the painting ability to solve puzzles, and the fact that you get all the items from the get-go is a BRILLIANT idea that fixes many of my complaints about Zelda.
Mario Kart 7 on the other hand, looks good but I just don't like the control pad for racing controls. It's not as quick as the D-Pad on the original DS (where I played Mario Kart DS the most) or the control stick of the Wii nun-chuck.
I have to admit though, the 3D effect is brilliant on both games, and I never turn it off.
