I've only been to an Aerosmith and Scoprions concert (the second one ain't even special, since they keep coming to Greece EVERY year, sometimes even touring 2-3 cities). I had a ticket to go to Linkin Park but I wasn't feeling well the day of the concert :(. And Metallica has been to Athens 2 times while I lived there, but each time the cheapest ticket cost 85 euro cause it was a rock festival so you had to buy a day ticket, but I could not afford that.

I just got back from Australia where I saw Tori Amos perform with the Sydney Orchestra at the world famous Sydney Opera House. It was amazing to hear her with a full orchestra, especially with one of such high caliber.

Some of the photos I took are behind the spoiler box below, though I didn't take any shots during the performance to follow proper concert etiquette:

I've been to Ozzfest 2005, Dream Theater's Octavarium, Joe Satriani's Super Colossal, Yuki Kajiura's Fiction, Nobuo Uematsu's Dear Friends and... one more... but I forgot, lol. XD

Any one going to Rock on the Range 2015? I went in 2010 and I think this will be the year I return. My wife's family lives in Toledo so I will be hanging out with my brother in law while the wives stay in Toledo.

Too many to name but my most recent I saw the Goo Goo Dolls at the Greek Theater.....My girlfriend was obsessed about seeing them so i took her for her birthday. I'll just say I have some new found respect for the band when before you probably couldn't give me free tickets to go see.

I'll watch any form of rock band at least once. Some bands have really surprised me live.

I did have a blast. I really enjoyed the setlist. You can see the lists here and here. Many of the songs are on her Gold Dust live album, because they all have special arrangements for orchestra. This meant it was a more programmed and less improvised show than her typical performances. Though you didn't get as clear of a sense of her versatility as a performer in this set, the orchestra added a grandiosity to the songs, which was a special treat to see. Hearing songs like Yes, Anastasia and Precious Things with a full orchestra was incredible because the original songs were recorded with the added instrumentation and the orchestra brought them to life in their full glory. I also enjoyed songs like Girl Disappearing and Cloud on My Tongue. I felt very lucky because, aside from being able to see her in Sydney at the Opera House, we also had amazing seats for both nights. My wife has been following Tori for years almost like a Grateful Dead fan (I like to call them Red Heads, but they call themselves Ears With Feet based on something Tori said about her fans once), so she often gets us seats in the reserved sections up front. We had the best seats for acoustics on the first night, and row 2 center the second night. It was an amazing couple of nights. :)
