That makes a bit of sense, considering the site said stuff wouldn't be shipped for 3-4 months. I noticed on the Zelda XL bag that it said something along the lines of 'design not final,' so I think it's obvious, for that item at least, to assume that the item hasn't been produced yet.
That would be good news for a lot of people who hare having a hard ass time logging in today. If some of the stuff hasn't even been made, then all we're doing is making pre-orders.
They say some stuff is limited but I think it would be more like the 2013 Platinum poster set and possibly the Animal Crossing playing cards since they're unlikely to make more of those.
I have no idea what I want to get. The Zelda bag, Mario shirt, and the puzzle look good though I'm also tempted to grab some of the online only games like Eco Shooter, Mario vs DK, Dillon's Rolling Western, or Excitebike. Or maybe Kid Icarus: Uprising. Their are way too many choices for me to decide though that's not a bad thing.

I finally got the damn site to load, and although it was hanging on the log in screen, I was some how able to log in and view rewards. By the time I decided on a reward, the site stopped loading for me again! I kept trying, but nothing!
edit: The site is loading for me now (although taking a LONG time for each page) but it keeps signing me out when I go to purchase something!
The Gold and Platinum Rewards will come out in March.

Son finally got in and picked up the Puzzle which also hints of not the final design. Perhaps true that orders will be tallied for the physical prizes before closing to manufacture the basic materials? Certainly a quicker turnaround building cloth and paper versus pumping out more SNES Classic Controllers or Game Watch Reproductions.
I still hope for something else to appear later, but highly unlikely that will happen.

I doubt it would ever happen but it'd be pretty awesome if the final platinum prize choice was Mother 3 with an English translation on the GBA for Wii U or StarFox 2 for N64 on the Wii U. Now that would be closing out the club in style.

To much of a pipe dream huh? I figure either dream big or don't dream at all. How about one of the SNES Competition carts, either Donkey Kong or Star Fox instead. I wouldn't complain about either of those choices. Heck, just give us all of it and call it a day.
