it's the first COD game in a long time to grab my attention. I'm considering playing it sometime in the near future.

I hadn't played an FPS for probably 10 years. I decided to try Call of Duty Ghosts on my Wii U. I had a great time for two weeks. I played a bit of campaign, and a lot of online. I have 13 hours clocked.
Despite enjoying the game, I felt like I was spending all my gaming time playing the game and "accomplishing" nothing. Since the trade in value was so high, I traded it in for a different game. I'm more of a single player kind of gamer, and I had acquired Ghosts for virtually nothing (traded in a 50 cent game to future shop for it).
The graphics and sound were great. The controls with the Wii Remote worked fine once I disabled camera lock. After the first patch, I had no technical complaints. Lag was never noticeable. All of my deaths were legit and everyone I shot died.
The throwing knife is awesome. It's immensely satisfying getting kills with it; part of that might be due in part of it being one of the only weapons that require aiming.. I'm fairly certain there's no aim-assist. Or if there is AA I can't tell.
I've also got into the bad habit of camping tac inserts. The inserts are usually in a low traffic area but still out in the open. I'll sit in a corner with a throw knife primed and ready throw. Insta-spawn death.
You shouldn't be using tactical insertions on MW3 anyway. The maps don't really have enough nooks and crannies to support it.
For anybody that owns the Wii U version (HA, nobody) they fixed and improved the texture resolution.
I gave the game a whirl with my friend the other day and I really didn't like it at all. I enjoyed Black Ops II well enough but man everything felt bad about Ghosts to me. I mostly noticed to tendancy to spawn you right in front of an enemy which would lead to you getting killed 4 times before you got to run around again.
Sound whoring is so overpowered in this game, using amplify and dead silence I know where enemies are at all times. The footsteps are so loud it's like having unlimited UAV.

You know this post just made me realize that bf4 did away with being forced to parachute in when you spawn on someones spawn beacon. That always sucked to be forced into waiting even longer after spawning.
I've been sucking in bf4 on PC lately. I still haven't acclimated to using a mouse and I also panic sometimes and misplace my hand on the keyboard now and then. In an effort to get better I'm going to start playing other fps games that don't require fast reflexes. Maybe I'll actually play through the campaign. It really sucks knowing I'd do better with a controller.
