And now it's $40 at amazon. At least it is on 8/15 at 6:00am. Amazon likes to play mind games with me regarding price fluctuations.

So now there are no excuses. Unless you already dropped 70 bucks on the JPN version. Then you're excused.

I've never bought anything from an online shop before. Is there a way to buy an "Amazon card" or something in a retail store that I can use online without using my credit card?

From the Amazon help page:

Amazon.com accepts American Express, Diners Club, Discover, JCB, MasterCard, Eurocard, Visa, Visa Check Cards, payment from your bank account, Amazon.com gift cards, Amazon.com Gift Card claim codes, and the Amazon Store Card.

You could buy a prepaid debit card from a large number of stores. You pay x amount in cash (or maybe x + y), and get a debit card that has x loaded on it already, that you can use anywhere like a credit card.

Although, I'm not sure why you wouldn't want to use your credit card online (especially at amazon) This isn't like the mid 90's where the internet was the wild west. Amazon isn't going to scam you or anything like that.

I think he mentioned a while ago that he's 15.
