Hey CFFJR, have you listened to any of the soundtrack from Alien Soldier? It's crazy. And by Kazuo Hanzawa.

Really looking forward to hearing your thoughts if tackle this one!

What the heck, i'll go ahead and make a list that'll start after I finish ranger...(let's see if this ends up better than last years:

1.) FF1(relative to if I can track down a gba cart just because of saving and being able to play at work on my breaks. PSP is nice but I don't think it has the "save anywhere" which is a life saver for my playthroughs since I tend to die every now and then)
2.) Faxanadu(nes) - keep hearing about it and have never actually sat down and played my copy yet...
3.) Sonic Classic Collection(DS) - The key is to play through and beat at least one or two games off of it. I've sat down to play them in various times on gba if I recall correctly but I've never beaten a sonic game
4.) Either Ratchet and Clank, Sly, Spyro or Jak and Daxter(I want to actually beat a game in one of these types of series that's not mario...)
5.) Chrono (sfc w/translation patch) - I need to actually beat this game, I've started several times but got distracted by different games and such
My gameroom
My systems: NES, SNES, N64, Gamecube, Wii, original gba, gba sp(001), ds lite, 3ds, vita, psp, PSone(101 model) ps2, ps3(320gb model), ps4, retron 5, and Dreamcast.

This collection is really shoddily put together. Buy Sonic Jam on Saturn, Sonic Mega Collection on Gamecube/PS2/Xbox or Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection on PS3 or 360 instead. My recommendation would be Mega Collection.

Well the whole point of doing that specific version is so I can do it on the go...I'm kinda like bone and a few others I like my handhelds....(especially since I'm not savvy enough to mod a portable emulation system using discs(like I'd love to do))

The only good port of the Mega Drive Sonic games to handheld (outside of just playing them on a Nomad) was the 3D Classics version of the Sonic the Hedgehog which is on 3DS eShop.

They're releasing 3D Classics Sonic 2 soon too.

sigh. I'm starting to brainstorm a bit. IF I do decide to attempt the challenge this year, I'm pretty sure that Final Fantasy IV will be the RPG that I go with. My other option was Phantasy Star II. Either way, both are games that I have started (twice, both games actually) but never played more than a few hours.

Here's a few things I've come up with...

Adventures Of Willy Beamish (or Kings's Quest VII)
Bonk's Adventure
Final Fantasy IV (or Phantasy Star II?)
King Of Fighters 2002
Vigilante

...my goal building this list is that IF I do attempt the challenge again this year, I'm allowing myself the one longer RPG, but making an attempt to keep every other game on the list to something that HLTB estimates at less than 10 hrs. Seeing as how my history has been to give up before I hit the halfway mark of my list, my hope is that sticking to relatively shorter games will increase the likelihood of success.

As usual I'd be aiming at 10 different genres.

Hey noise, I've made it through FFIV. I'll be happy to talk about it with you on Thursday nights during rounds of whatever we're playing. Who knows, the pep talks might help.

cool, cool. I'm kind of on the fence...

I played Final Fantasy (OG) for the challenge a couple years ago, and then attempted (and gave up on) II and III since then. So there is some part of me that wants to continue on w/ IV as it's turned into a bit of an annually tradition for me now to at least attempt the mainline games in order.

But on the flip, I am a bigger fan of the Phantasy Star universe, and I even have a really awesome Phantasy Star II strategy guide published by Sega. Hmm.

Haha, yeah, but I've only ever been into PSO on the Phantasy Star side, so if you go that route, I'm pretty much out as far as being able to talk about it! But hey, if you prefer it and find FFIV too daunting or uninteresting, then go for it.
